Explore Baptism
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
- Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)
Why Baptism?
Jesus tells us to celebrate our new life in Christ by following His command to be baptized. Baptism doesn’t save us, but it does tell the world that we have been saved and demonstrates our love and obedience to Jesus. It's a public declaration that we have died to our old way of living and are now living in the new life found in Jesus.
Is Jesus Your Savior?
Through baptism you declare that you are a follower of Jesus. This means that you believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and through His death and resurrection He has reconciled you back to Himself. He Paid the penalty for your sins so that you can be made whole and be reunited with the God who created you. If this is true about you, then you are ready for baptism! You don’t have to have it all together, you simply need to trust in Jesus and resolve to live your life in the ways of Jesus. In the words of the Apostle Paul, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
